I just did 63 minutes and forgot to put on my FitBit!!!!
“How many do you need,” he said as he put out his hand.
*We broke it. It worked on and off for the rest of the day, and now it won’t even turn on.
Fit Bit is broken. We broke the Fit Bit. Fit Bit does not like sawzall ride.

A very McMike solution.

Haha-my 10 year old nephew was kicking my brothers butt in steps for a long time, then my nephew admitted he was shaking his hand up and down while sitting in school to jack up his numbers.

Thanks.
I kept adjusting the speed, and it seemed to max out at about 200 steps/minute. Any faster, and it stopped counting.
I also learned that after about 15 minutes of that pace, it freaks out and resets to zero. I was able to add about 1700 steps before it reset.
Good news was, after about 10 minutes, it was once again showing the “steps” I put on it. Even thought it was still 1200 steps short of what the goal was, she didn’t hand it back.
I now feel bad for those that actually have a 200 step/min pace.

Mrs McMike is in challenges with friends/family, and they all track each other’s steps.
She has the clip on bit, and usually puts it on a bra strap during the day to keep it out of the way.
A few years ago we were on the first day of a two-week motorcycle trip, and her mother texted her at the end of the day and said. “Did you guys WALK to Cleveland????”
Turns out that she gets quite a few steps just sitting on a motorcycle. I think it was like 20-30K that day. She wears it on her hip when she’s on the motorcycle now.

Way to bury the lead about your beverage cabinet.

LMAO. Totally unintended so it probably says more about me than him. :)

I have a coworker who put his Fitbit on his windshield wipers, he lives in Seattle so he gets lots of steps driving.

Fitbit are addictive in weird way, especially if you’re in a contest with others. I average about 20-22k steps a day. I try for 9 miles every day. I generally won’t stop for the day until get them

sounds to me that you should have taken this as a chance to go for a long ride with the wife

We need more details on the beverage cooler. I’m thinking about buying something similar from a nearby store that is closing. I’m hoping it’s big enough to turn into a kegerator and still keep a shelf or two.

It’s a True single door, full sized merchandiser. I grabbed it from a restaurant that was going out of business close 15 or so years ago.
We keep all our beverages in it. Bottled water, soda, and (obviously) beers and stuff.
I have a row in it for each of my neighbors, so they always have one cold when we are in the driveway - also when they are all out in another driveway, I can take sixer with me (with the wood holder in the background).

Very nice, that’s taller than the one I might buy. It’s a single door but is closer to 5ft tall. They also have a double door that would be a better width for what I want, but it’s quite a bit more.

I always had a smaller one in mind before I came across this one, but we made it work. :)

Yeah, I can see you are managing just fine with that one. I only have two neighbors I actually like so that would make filling it more difficult.

I was going to point this out if nobody else had :)

I’ve always assumed these would cost a fortune to run and not be very efficient. (Huge glass door)

While it is a dual glass-pane door, you’re probably right. A solid, insulated door would probably be more efficient.

Wouldn’t look as cool though. Ha.

I have a dad who takes his kids trick or treating on Halloween trained to walk up to the open garage door as we hand out candy.
He says “Trick or treat,” and I let him grab whatever he wants.
We live on a short cul-de-sac, and he tells his kids to finish the end of the block while he stands there with us by the campfire.
“Daddy are you coming?”
“No, you guys go ahead... I can watch you from here. Remember to say thank you!”
